Quantum GIS (QGIS) is a free and open-source cross-platform desktop geographic
information system application that supports viewing, editing, and analysis of geospatial
data. QGIS is very powerful application with many tools and plugins that make dealing
with GIS data convenient for GIS professional and casual users. In this Module, Trainees go
through open source concepts and explore QGIS and GeoNode interface.
