In order to preserve natural resources in the North African region and to reduce the impacts of land degradation. A land degradation service training for the benefit of end-users to support these skills and expertise was led by the OSS. This course will provide the necessary skills to estimate degraded land through MISLAND.
The objective of this training : (i) to improve the understanding of land degradation indicators and their impact on development; (ii) to analyse how end-users can estimate land degradation in their areas of interest and how they can react to reduce this degradation and restore degraded soils; and (iii) to make this information available to the concerned public and decision-makers.
This training presents an opportunity for exchange with experts in the field of land degradation: the land degradation service developer on the MISLAND platform, end-users and decision-makers to share know-how and land degradation mitigation measures.
